The Story of Kimonos
着物たちの物語
Traditionally, Kimono was worn as daily wear or formal wear.
Nowadays, although they are still used as special clothing for celebrations such as coming-of-age ceremonies
and weddings, people generally have fewer opportunities to wear them.
Kimono is made from white silk, dyed, patterned, and sewn by craftsmen with great care.
Some have been inherited from generation to generation, or used for celebratory occasions, but left in the closet afterwards.
古来、日常着やフォーマルとして着用されてきた着物。
現代では成人のお祝い、結婚式など
祝いの席で着られる特別な服として着用され
る事があるものの一般に着られる機会は減りました。
丹精込めて職人達の手で白い絹地から色染め、柄入れを経て縫製された着物達。
代々受け継がれてきた着物、祝いの席で着用したもののその後クローゼットで眠ったままになってしまった着物。
I would like to revive such kimonos by upcycling with contemporary lifestyle patterns.
I hope it would be something familiar and easy to wear regardless of culture and customs.
Based on this idea, I have been producing miscellaneous accessories upcycled from kimono.
Bringing new life into beautiful and colorful kimonos.
About Upcycling Kimono
In our brand, we wash the untied kimonos neatly once, purify them with coarse salt, and turn them into a roll
of cloth for kimono before making our products.

形にするなら身近で、文化、風習にとらわれず気軽に身につけられる物がいい。
